May 22nd Fishing Report

The Mitchell’s Guide Service, Devils Lake, North Dakota Fishing Report for the week of May 15th through 21st.
Submitted by Pete Harsh /MR.TILLER

Weather has played a major factor in the bite this week as it always does during the month of May. Stable, warm weather resulted in a very good bite on some days. However, winds with gusts exceeding 40mph and temperatures in the thirties and forties had an adverse effect on the bite resulting in a couple days of weather cancellations.

Still some nice catches were made by our clients when Mother Nature smiled on us. This next week’s forecast looks to be better with stabilizing conditions. That should bring the kind of fishing the Devils Lake system is famous for. Mitchell’s Guide Service now has our full compliment of guides working and available.

It not too late to book an end of May or early June trip. The bobber bite has been good and the bite pitching crankbaits and / or jigs-n- plastic should pick up with the warmer weather. Our booking number is 701-662-5996.
