Hello everyone!

Fall is approaching quickly, but the walleyes are biting!

Success has come from many different portions of the lake. Pulling crankbaits and spinners in the 18-25 foot range has been putting fish in the boat in areas such as Creel bay (north end), 6 mile bay, Golden Highway, Pelican Ridge, and around Doc Hagens.

Also look to target some deep rock piles by vertical jigging. We have seen some big walleyes being jigged up from the deep. # 9 Jigging raps (Blue and Chrome) are still working really well in areas around the bridge at 6 mile bay, Hwy 20/57 Bridges, Rocky Point, Military Point, and the Towers in the main bay.

Perch have been fairly active as late as well. Look to pull smaller spinner rigs (0 blades) or slow death to pick up these Perch. Try using a half or even a 1/4 of a crawler if you’re having trouble hooking up with fish that you’re marking. Still looking to run speeds around 0.8-1.1 mph when pulling spinners.

If you’re looking to catch Pike, target some shallower water by pitching cranks, pulling spinners, or trolling cranks. A lot of smaller ones being caught with bigger ones mixed in.

Good luck!

Have Fun! Be Safe!
