Game On- We’ll keep you posted as we build more ice!
This past week has brought below zero temperatures and with the cold weather… ice! The upper lakes, Alice and Irvine continue to produce pike and walleye while guys are just beginning to venture out in to parts of the main lake including Creel Bay and Six Mile Bay.
Austin and Warren managed to nab a few this past Sunday afternoon right out in front of the resort.
Finding any structure in 8-20ft of water with flooded timber, rocks, and flats has given early anglers the most success using Jigging Raps and Gold Genz Worms. The cold front has made the fish on the finicky side but that didn’t stop Landen and Devan from pulling in some Walleye and Perch this evening.
Creel Bay: 4-5 inches on “Beer Can Island”- out in front of the resort
Six Mile Bay North End: 9 inches
The weather forecast looks great for making some solid ice over these next few days and the Woodland Ice Crew will begin moving some of our two and three man houses out this weekend for our first arrivals of groups on Fish House Packages.
