Fishing Licenses, Limits, and More. What you need to Know…

Some of the more common questions we receive is what does an out-of-state fishing license cost? What is the limit on Perch? How many rods can I fish with? This post is a quick overview about what you need to know regarding ND Game and Fish regulations on Devils Lake. (Note the time of this post as you may need to look here for current information in the future)

Licensing Information:

Fishing licenses are purchased online here. I recommend purchasing yours a few days before making your trip to Devils Lake as it’s one less thing you need to deal with when getting here (there are computers available for use in our bait shop and staff to assist when needed).  If you’re a non-resident and go with the 3 day or 10 day option, you’re able to enter the dates that you’ll be fishing ahead of time. A drivers license and/or a social security number is required. Payment is done via credit card.

Dark House Spearing:

Registration is required to participate in dark house spearing. Note that spearing is only allowed for Northern Pike. If you’re going spearing this winter on your own (we do not offer dark house spear fishing at the resort), register here.
