March 6

We will be seeing temperatures climbing into the 30’s and 40’s over the next 10 days so be aware of changing ice conditions especially around pressure ridges, bridges, and other high current areas. Ice thickness is around 36 inches, so continue to bring your auger extensions when coming to Devils Lake. Snow cover on the lake is not an issue, with most people with 4 wheel drive being able to drive around easily.
The walleye and northern pike bite on Devils Lake continues to be decent with walleye in the morning and evenings and pike in the afternoon. Perch continue to be tough to catch, but are being marked on a consistent basis.

Hopefully these warm temperatures coming into the area help make the fish more aggressive for the last month or so of the ice fishing season.
Good luck to everyone heading out fishing the last month of the season!
