After unseasonably cold temperatures earlier in the month, fishing this May has lived up to expectations and continues to get better. From great eater walleye to giant 40 inch pike and all the catch and releases in between, it is certainly a great time to be on Devils Lake. We are seeing many people along with our guides using slip bobbers with leeches in flooded timber, and pitching cranks and jigs with plastics into the shallows. The one common denominator has been shallow warm water usually less than 10 feet. It is great to see so many people catch and releasing nice fish. Good luck to all heading out the next week!
