Went out fishing for some Walleye dinner last night while searching around for some Woodland fish house spots and got some nice eaters on an old shore line using this pink/purple/silver #4 colored Slab Rap. These things are a ton of fun to fish with! I got on the ice about 4:30 PM, drilled 5 holes perpendicular to the shoreline and in 19 feet of water was able to aggressively jig 2 to 3 feet off the bottom where the walleyes would come up off the bottom and absolutely slam it. Raps are typically tough for finicky fish- but they proved hungry last night!
Fishing pressure right now is slim, hope some of you can make it up to do some early ice fishing out of our houses before Christmas. Weather looks nice, pressure is down, and the fish are biting!
