Greetings from the Tundra!
It’s beginning to look a lot like winter at Woodland Resort. Another fantastic year on the waters of Devils Lake is in the books and we hope you have had a great year thus far. Time to start planning your next fishing extravaganza!!!!
The lake is beginning to freeze which means ice fishing is right around the corner. Upper basin lakes (Mike’s, Dry, Alice, Irvine) are seeing up to 7” of ice in some areas with the most parts of main lake still open. We are now taking bookings for the 2018-2019 ice fishing season.
If you took advantage of our super Fish House with Lodging Packages last year, you’re most likely aware that it was our first year offering two fish houses per group. This worked out quite well with our ice fishing groups and increased overall fishing success. With this package, your group gets one house setup in shallower structure for the morning and evening Walleye bites, as well as an additional house setup in deeper water to target Perch during mid-day. We will continue doing this for the 2018-2019 season as it provides more flexibility and opportunity for being on the bite! Of course, the Pike are always in the mix as well and we welcome anglers preferring to target them.
Zippy and guides with the Perch Patrol are also gearing up for another great season and Woodland continues offering package deals with lodging, guided fishing, and all gear included.
Looking forward to seeing some of these come through the ice!
Last night Proz Lakeside’s special Fall Wine Dinner event was a good one!
Digging out the marina this fall due to lower lake levels…
We will continue posting regular updates on Facebook and have recently revamped our Instagram for all you social media connoisseurs!
Happy Holidays to you and your family from the Woodland Staff! Hope to see some of you this winter 🙂
