Anglers that choose our fish house packages find a full time crew working hard to keep our houses on the best bite available in our area. Our houses are first class and modern with luxuries like electric lights, propane furnaces, and comfortable seating
Winter Fish House with Lodging Package Includes:
• Lodging at Woodland Resort, your choice of accommodations.
• A fish house for the morning and evening Walleye bite, a second fish house for Perch during the day.
• Transportation to and from fish house (when needed) .
• All live bait and frozen dead bait for tip-ups .
• Fish houses are pre-heated and holes are pre-drilled .

On the ice you will need to bring appropriate clothing, food, rods, fishing equipment, and refreshments. We will drill additional holes outside if you plan on using tip-ups. Anglers are allowed 4 lines in North Dakota, but we plan on 2 holes per person in our fish houses.
This is not a guided fishing trip, but we do work hard at keeping our houses on the best fishing available in our area. Fishing hours are from sunrise to sunset. Sorry, but we do not do sleeper houses. Devils Lake does not have a night bite. Woodland Resort offers a variety of 2, 3, 4, and 6 person fish houses. Cook stoves are available upon request.

Packages require a minimum of two people. We are able to handle groups of up to 100+ people. For groups of 12 or more, special rates may apply.

When is the best time to come ice fishing?

Can I drive to my house?
Yes, though sometimes ice/snow conditions may prevent you from driving yourself out.
Where can I get a fishing license?
You can get a fishing license online. If you are unable to get one prior to your visit the staff in the baitshop will assist you. Please note: The license fee must be paid with a credit or debit card.

What is a typical day like?
In the morning (around 7) the staff will begin taking fisherman to their houses. You will be meeting in the bait shop. After all fisherman are out the staff will begin checking up on you. They will move you upon request to your other house, or back to the resort. The ice crew will begin picking everyone up from their houses near dark.
